Oat

Oat is the calmer cousin of cream, warmer than white, softer than beige, with a slight natural-fibre undertone. It’s the neutral that doesn’t read as beige-with-yellow the way straight beige can.

Our oat shades are gathered by hand in our Sandton workshop, typically on linen or cotton-linen blends where the fibre texture shows through. It’s a forgiving colour that works in bedrooms, sitting rooms, and reading corners alike, and it doesn’t compete with patterned walls or upholstery. Pair with our Beaumont bobbin base for a warm-on-warm look, or set over an existing pale lamp.
