The Minis are the shades I make in pairs. A bedroom usually needs two matching shades for the bedside tables, and they need to be small, around 23cm across at the widest point, so they do not crowd the space next to a pillow.

The ruched skirt is the detail that makes these. A short band of gathered fabric sits below the shade proper, giving a soft lower edge that catches the light differently to a plain drum. It also hides the top of the socket when the shade sits low on the base, which most bedside shades do.
