Gathered Lampshade

The gathered lampshade is our signature profile and the one most customers find us through. Each one is cut, gathered, and hand-bound in the Johannesburg workshop, and the gathering gives the shade a softness and movement that a straight-sided shade can’t match. Because the fabric is pleated by hand, no two shades are ever identical; the gathers settle slightly differently on each one, which is part of the appeal. We make gathered shades across all three sizes, in every fabric range we stock, and they pair well with almost any base style, from simple turned-wood lampstands through to ceramic and brass. This is the range we recommend first for most rooms.
