Bobbin Lampstand

Bobbin turning is a traditional joinery technique. A wooden rod is shaped on a lathe into a sequence of rounded, repeating forms, first popularised in 17th-century country furniture and revived in the 2020s as part of the trad-interiors movement.

The Beaumont is our sole bobbin base at present. It’s designed to pair cleanly with every lampshade in our catalogue, whether gathered, ruched-skirt mini, plain, or patterned.
