A plain shade is the quiet option. Texture of the fabric and the warmth of a single colour do all the work, which is often the right choice when walls, wallpaper, or upholstery are already carrying pattern.

Our plain shades use cotton, linen, and cotton-linen blends, all gathered by hand in our Sandton workshop. The gather gives the shade presence even without a print, because light catches the pleats and creates subtle shadow play. Plain shades are also the most versatile choice if you rotate pieces seasonally. Pair with the Beaumont bobbin base, or drop onto an existing lamp stand.
