Ochre

Ochre is the yellow-earth. A colour drawn from pigment rather than dye, and one that’s landscape-adjacent without being literal about it. Warmer than mustard, richer than straw.

Our ochre shades are gathered by hand in our Sandton workshop, typically on cotton fabrics where the ochre sits as a ground tone or within a broader print. They pair naturally with brass fittings, walnut furniture, terracotta tile, and leather upholstery. Ochre suits sitting rooms, studies, and entrance halls particularly well. Pair with our Beaumont hand-turned bobbin base; the amber finish and the ochre fabric sit in the same warm family.
