Slate

Slate is the grey with depth. Darker than standard grey, gentler than charcoal, and with a subtle cool-blue undertone. It’s the sophisticated neutral for rooms that need weight rather than lightness.

Our Leafy Slate shade is the archive’s signature, a leaf-motif cotton on a slate ground, gathered by hand in our Sandton workshop. Slate pairs particularly well with cream walls, natural wood, black iron, and deep green upholstery. Specify the Beaumont hand-turned bobbin base for a warm tonal contrast, or drop a slate shade over an existing lamp to anchor a quiet corner.
